We are delighted to include the Silent Auction this year in our first in-person full Spring Art Show since the pandemic. The tradition of a silent auction started 6 years ago, spearheaded by Wanda Brewster and Earlene Holmstrom. It has been a primary fundraiser for SWA and we hope for success again this year
Thanks to our members and corporate donors we are offering art supplies for many media: pastels acrylics, watercolors, colored and graphite pencils, oil paints, as well as yummy food items like a Voodoo Donut gift certificate with Deadman’s Reach coffee and cute coffee mugs, wine in a decorated box, and gently used salad bowl with croutons and oil and vinegar. This year we will incorporate a special range of new and gently used art items from the estate of Wanda Brewster.
You are sure to be able to find something to bid on that could be a great bargain. There is a Bees Knees basket for garden lovers who want to try mason bees, a hanging flower basket, and a fun basket of a Ukulele with a songbook, instructions for playing, and a CD! We also have a number of gift certificates from businesses for art supplies, framing, and portrait photos. Be sure to check those out in addition to our colorful baskets, some of which include SWA aprons and SWA tote bags.
Here is just a small selection of what you will see at the show:
